Hi, my name is Nick Ventura. I am currently a senior Journalism and Mass Communication major at St. Bonaventure University. I am setting this blog up to write about winter activities, such as skiing, snowboarding, and telemark skiing, and other topics such as things to actually do during winter. I have been snowboarding since I was 11, skiing since I was around 16, and I actually just started telemark skiing last year, so I am very experienced on the mountain. I work at HoliMont Ski Area and have to go there almost every weekend because I am on the Ski Safety. There is only so many ski patrol so what we do is patrol the mountain because there are only so many people that actually work on the ski patrol. We do the ticket checks at the resort as well as radio in any accidents that occur when we are patrolling.
I will also be talking about sports in general and big events in sports, such as big games, accidents, or and a run down of people that are extreme. I am excited to be talking to you guys about this stuff, as I have never really had a "mic" to talk about anything, but am looking forward to the future!
I am really excited, as this is my final year at St. Bonaventure University! As always, I will be looking forward to what lies ahead!
Jose Ramirez put on quite the show last night, with his return into the lineup. After missing a month with a broken hand injury, he managed to pull off a three-run homer, as well as a grand slam. He does, however, bat with a bat handle that is modified slightly to accommodate the surgically repaired right hand.
“I’m not surprised, to be honest,” Ramírez said. “You just try to compete and try to get my best pitch and have the best swing, and that’s what happened. It was great to be back with the guys and help them in any way I can."
Mike Clevinger Also had a great game. Mike (13-3) pitched seven innings of five-hit ball and struck…
Cleveland Browns v. New York Jets - 9/21/19
The Cleveland Browns pull away with a 23-3 victory over the New York Jets! The Cleveland defense was on par for this game, making Cleveland's record 1-1. The Browns started slowly with just a field goal but added to that with a touchdown. Sadly, the extra point was no good.
The next quarter, the Browns came out swinging with a five total play drive and that was mainly Nick Chubb behind it all, with him barreling down the field. There was another field goal late in the second, making it 16-3.
However, Odell Beckham Jr. made a glorious one-handed catch late in the third to make it 23-3, plus the field goal.…

Why did I come to St. Bonaventure University and why I am a journalism and mass communication major? To answer why I came to St. Bonaventure, I have to first explain what happened when I was 13. I was in a horrific snowboarding accident. That put me in a coma for more than 90 days, had to re-learn to walk and talk again, and had to go through years of out-patient therapy on top of that.
Because of this incident, I struggled throughout my years of school. However, I was an excellent student beforehand so I had years of built up trust. I applied to nearly 30 different colleges, only to get denied from them all. But, I was…

There's much to see in the world of sports. Every sport is different too. Each is played different, but each has its own way of scoring too. With football, it's touchdown, field goals, extra points, and 2-point-conversations. With baseball, it's runs and outs. A run if when you run all the bases and you return home. You can also hit a homerun, which is when the baseball goes out of the park. With basketball, it's buckets and then after four quarters, it's whoever has the highest amount of 2's or 3's. With soccer, it's whoever scores the most goals by kicking the ball into the post at the end of 90 minutes. It is all different.
But, there are…
